MOGRA
MOGRA
Akihabara's MOGRA is a club and event venue featuring a clear basement sound system and a ground-floor bar counter, serving affordable drinks, limited-run labels, and light bites.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Step down into the basement floor to find a sound environment tuned for clear frequency separation and satisfying punch without fatiguing the ears. The core appeal of MOGRA lies in its diverse showcase of Japanese club culture, ranging from sets by domestically active DJs to anime- and voice-actor-related nights alongside electronic music showcases, varying with each party.
Occupying the 1st floor and 1th basement floor of the Matsubishi Building, the venue dedicates its basement to the DJ booth and dance floor while keeping the 1st floor as a dedicated bar counter space. Drinks on the 1st floor sit in an approachable price range starting around 700 yen, occasionally featuring limited arrivals of specialty bottles. Casual snacks are also available to curb hunger between dance sessions. With benches and table seating on the 1st floor, guests can take a breather over a glass or chat with the friendly staff in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Because the music genres rotate dramatically depending on the day's lineup, checking official event announcements before heading over helps ensure a good match for personal tastes. Staff conduct identification and bag checks upon entry, and outside food and drinks are strictly prohibited. Payment by PayPay is accepted for both door admission and inside bar purchases, and the bar counter also takes major credit cards. It offers a comfortable spot to tap into Akihabara's nightlife energy alongside carefully dialed-in audio and well-priced drinks.
